Yes! Although we are your home library, you may find valuable assets at your public library.
If you do not live in Victoria, college and university libraries near you can offer you services through the TexShare program. The TexShare program will allow you walk-in services at universities participating in the program.
You must present a TexShare card from your home university (us) and a valid government-issued ID to use other Texas libraries. To get a TexShare card, enquire at the A&M-Victoria Library circulation desk.

There is always a librarian available for help during open hours, by phone, chat or in person.
However, some of your classes may require a library consultation or you may have an assignment that requires more time than is available at the desk. You can make an appointment with a librarian here: https://libcal.tamuv.edu/appointments#s-lc-public-pt
You can also make an appointment for a consultation in the Makerspace or Victoria Regional History Center by choosing one of those options on the request form.

You can log into the library catalog to see everything you have checked out and renew (if renewals are available for the item). Access the catalog from the Catalog icon on the library homepage and log in using your library barcode and PIN. Your barcode is the number on back of your student ID or library card beginning with 23382. Your PIN is a four-digit code set by you.
If you forgot your PIN or have never set one, you can call or chat with us and we will either create or reset it.

Resources of libraries throughout the state of Texas are available to you through the TexShare card program. The TexShare card program is a reciprocal borrowing program. It is designed to allow the registered users of participating institutions to directly borrow materials from the libraries of other participating institutions.
TAMU system libraries do not extend checkout privileges to sister campuses, but all participate in the TexShare card program. To get a TexShare card, contact the circulation desk.
